CADIRETES ECO BUNGALOW PARK
In June of 2014, Camping Cala Llevadó in Tossa de Mar (Costa Brava) opens an exclusive and innovative area called Cadiretes ECO Bungalow Park, which includes 30 ecological bungalows made of wood and cork from the area. The bungalows are equipped with heating and also LED lights; kitchen with vitroceramic hob; airco and television, unlike all the bungalows built to date. There will be also an electric car in the park, for the customer service, and the WiFi connection will be free only for the clients of these bungalows.
The ECO Bungalows are located in an environment surrounded by pine trees and cork trees, which are integrated into the environment in a special way, forming a low density of camping units (18%); facing south; and having proper ventilation and a glass facade. All elements these new bungalows have are designed to maximize the natural energy and to minimize the artificial energy consumption.
The campsite invests on these new bungalows in order to respond to the growing demand and the continuing trend of increasing the number of overnight stays by guests in bungalows. Camping Cala Llevadó decided already in 2013 to install six Glamping Pods (the Forest Cabins), taking advantage of the arrival from France and UK of the Glamping phenomenon; a mix between Glamour and camping, which let enjoy classy and comfortable hotel rooms in the middle of nature.
The new bungalows, a project by dosarquitectes, strengthens the Camping Cala Llevadó’s position in the market, as a leading campsite in Spain and as one of the 80 best campsites in Europe, offering outstanding quality accommodations; with high environmental value. Most of the clients are coming from Catalunya, France, Germany and the Netherlands.
